The Journey Behind Maevellous Creations
Hello, I'm Grace.
My creative journey began in 2014-2015 with studying A-Level Fine Art, where I discovered my love for drawing, storytelling, and visual communication. Although I later spent two years studying Adult Nursing from 2021, the experience gave me a new perspective on life and showed me just how important it is to pursue the things that truly matter. It was during this time that I realised my passion for art was something I wanted to follow wholeheartedly.
In 2024, I began studying Illustration at Falmouth University, developing my skills and exploring the relationship between nature, storytelling, and design. Much of my work is inspired by the changing seasons, wildlife, and my own allotment, where I find endless inspiration in the plants, flowers, insects, and everyday moments of growing.
In 2025, I became a mother to a beautiful little girl, an experience that brought a new direction to my creative practice. Inspired by childhood wonder, playfulness, and the joy of watching her explore the world, I developed a growing interest in surface pattern design and illustrations for baby and children's products.
Today, I create nature-inspired illustrations and patterns that blend a love of the natural world with a sense of warmth, whimsy, and storytelling.
From the Beginning
My love for illustration began at a young age through Disney and Pixar animations, whose storytelling and artistry inspired me to pursue a creative career. Today, I draw on that inspiration to create nature-inspired illustrations and surface pattern designs that celebrate wonder, storytelling, and the beauty of the natural world.
